Internal Medicine Fast Track Program
In conjunction with the Internal Medicine Department, the Cardiovascular Division offers a fast track Physician-Scientist Training Program. The fast track generally consists of:
- 2 years in the Internal Medicine residency program, followed by
- 5 years of Cardiovascular fellowship, which will consist of
- 2 years of clinical subspecialty training and
- 3 years of research training.
This program is designed for residents interested in a career in Cardiovascular Medicine as a physician-scientist. Applicants should already have a combined MD/PhD degree (some master's degrees are acceptable) or a record of strong research experiences.
