Internal Medicine Fast Track Program

In conjunction with the Internal Medicine Department, the Cardiovascular Division offers a fast track Physician-Scientist Training Program.  The fast track generally consists of:

  • 2 years in the Internal Medicine residency program, followed by
  • 5 years of Cardiovascular fellowship, which will consist of
    • 2 years of clinical subspecialty training and
    • 3 years of research training.

This program is designed for residents interested in a career in Cardiovascular Medicine as a physician-scientist.  Applicants should already have a combined MD/PhD degree (some master's degrees are acceptable) or a record of strong research experiences.
