CVC of PCNA - Who We Are
Welcome to the website of the Central Virginia Chapter of the PCNA, Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association. This chapter was formed in 2005 by cardiovascular nurses seeking options for
- networking
- staying current in cardiovascular patient care
- updating skills and receiving valuable cardiac nursing continuing education
- pursuing cardiovascular nurse certification and recognition
- community outreach
Members of PCNA and our Virginia PCNA chapter are allied health professionals involved in cardiovascular patient health care and include: cardiac nurses, nurse practitioners, exercise physiologists, pharmacists, dietitians, and others. While there are members of PCNA throughout the state, we are currently the first and only chapter of PCNA in Virginia . Our members include professionals from Charlottesville , Harrisonburg , Waynesboro , Lynchburg , and surrounding areas. Any PCNA member is welcome to join our chapter.
All chapter members are members of PCNA and as such receive the benefits of PCNA membership . We do not charge any additional chapter membership dues. Occasionally, a meeting may have a cost associated with a meal when sponsors are unavailable
For more information on who we are, benefits of membership, upcoming programs and meetings, recent meetings, and community outreach activities see menu options on the left.
