Officer Roles and Responsibilities 

 President      •Calls general membership and business meetings •Prior to meetings, reviews meeting agendas and ensures notifications have been sent out •Submits annual report to national with support of other officers •Serves as liaison to one of the standing committees - participating as a member, representing chapter leadership, and ensuring continued functioning of the committee •Elected. Serves a two year term. Can be re-elected for up to two consecutive terms.

President-Elect     •Serves a one-year term under the mentorship of the President •Serves as liaison to one of the standing committees - participating as a member, representing chapter leadership, and ensuring continued functioning of the committee •Elected. After one year, the President-Elect steps into the role of President for a two-year term

 Secretary  •Archives official communications and promotional materials of the chapter •Maintains files of chapter bylaws, goals, leadership, reports •Maintains chapter computer files and mailing lists• Promotes membership to PCNA •Maintains chapter resources and promotional educational materials •Creates and maintains chapter display board  •Communicates with members/potential members via mailings/announcements 

Treasurer •Handles chapter finances and coordinates such with national  •Maintains record of chapter finances •Presents financial reports

Webmaster/Publicity Coordinator     •Develops, maintains, and updates chapter website •Assists other committees in developing promotional materials •Creates membership meeting invitations •Develops group mailing lists for the chapter •Appointed role.

        

Committees  

Education –  Cherie Parks, Melly Turner,  Helen Marie Molnar, Mala Cunningham

•Surveys members to determine needs/interests for educational programs •Arranges speakers for educational programs •Coordinates quarterly chapter educational programs •Assists in developing educational programs for membership or the community •Coordinates PCNA member and chapter involvement in community initiatives, focusing on cardiac prevention and health promotional activities  

Nominating Committee/Coordinator - Ann Pontuso 

•Develops nominees for officer positions •Ensures appropriateness of nomonees and educates membership on nominees' qualifications • Reviews chapter election bylaws
