PCNA Membership
PCNA members are health professionals interested in providing cardiovascular risk reduction and disease management for their patients and include
- nurses
- advanced nurses,
- physicians
- physician assistants
- pharmacists
- dietitians
- exercise physiologists
- other health care professionals
Members include health professionals from the United States and several other countries.
According to year 2004 statistics, members include: nurses (70%), advanced practice nurses (20%), students, physicians, physician assistants, dietitians, exercise physiologists, and other allied health care professionals involved in cardiovascular health care. Practice settings include hospitals (>50%), offices (30%), clinics, cardiac rehabilitation centers, and universities.
There are no requirements for membership. You can join by going to the PCNA website, filling out the registration form, and paying the annual $75 membership fee. Chapter membership is included at no additional fee.
