Charlene Jefferies

Assistant Director--Training

Charlene is a fourth year nursing student and is currently the Assistant Director of Training in the UVAMRC. Originally from Loudoun County, Virginia, Charlene began volunteering as an EMT at a local fire-rescue department in high school. After taking a hospital disaster preparedness course through the Department of Justice and GWU's READI (Response to Emergencies and Distasters Institute), Charlene decided to further pursue her interests in this area by joining the MRC during her second year at UVA. She is excited to be a part of this organization and hopes to make the UVAMRC training program a national model for other MRC's this year. After graduating this May, Charlene plans to begin her career in cardiac nursing at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and continue MRC activities in northern Virginia.
