UVA Dance Marathon for Children's Miracle Network-February 25, 2012 - UVA's Memorial Gym. Show your support-and entertain the children in your life-by coming out to "Family Time" - noon to 3pm at the UVA Dance Marathon. You can cheer on the UVA dancers, while the kids enjoy games, a moon bounce, a magician, and more. The event showcases the hard work of energetic UVA students who plan and organize the event, then spend 14 hours on their feet dancing for the kids! |

IHOP National Pancake Day—February 28th. Imagine a big stack of buttery pancakes covered with syrup. That's right, you can get all that yummy goodness and support UVA Children's Hospital at the same time. KOHL'S Growing Up Healthy Expo - March 31 - 9am-noon at the KOHL's Department Store in Charlottesville. Together, you and your child can learn more about healthy eating at the UVA's Children's Fitness Clinic and Kohl's Growing Up Healthy Expo. You'll have fun with interactive stations and games that test your knowledge about healthy behaviors. Participants will receive nutrition handouts, healthy snacks, and a pedometer. Children's Miracle Network Balloon Campaigns - April-June. Purchase one of the red and gold Children's Miracle Network (CMN) balloons anywhere in central Virginia, and you support UVA Children's Hospital. One hundred percent of every CMN balloon sale stays local, helping UVA Children's Hospital provide comprehensive, lifesaving care for children. Funds also support research aimed at improving care for childhood cancer, diabetes, heart disease, cyctic fibrosis, genetic defects, and much more. 28th Annual Walk for Kids, Hosted by Klockner Pentaplast of America - May 12, 9am start time, The Park, next to UVA Law School. Join in this annual Charlottesville family tradition and 5K walk to benefit UVA Children's Hospital. The event features fun and games for the whole family, including a picnic and prizes.
