Who we are and how we can help
If you will be traveling to tropical or developing areas of the world where vaccinations, medications to prevent malaria and other health measures are necessary, you can receive them at the University of Virginia Health System Traveler's Clinic. Basic health information on specific destinations can be found at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Traveler's Health website: http://www.cdc.gov/travel/.
The University of Virginia Health System Traveler's Clinic is open each Tuesday, 1-5PM. Appointments should be scheduled at least 4 weeks or more in advance by calling (434) 982-1700, option 1 for scheduling an appointment.
The Traveler's Clinic is located in the University of Virginia Health System Primary Care Center at 1221 Lee Street, Charlottesville, VA 22908.
When you return from your trip, you may need to schedule a follow-up visit at the Traveler's Clinic. If you experience difficulty which requires emergency treatment, call 911 or go to the emergency room.
