Transportation Services
Transportation & Distribution Services provides in-house transportation of inpatients and outpatients, via stretchers and wheelchairs, throughout the University Hospital, the Primary Care Center, and the West Complex.
Messenger Service is provided for pickup and delivery of pharmaceuticals and specimens that cannot be sent through the pneumatic tube system, or involve locations that do not have access to the tube system.
Interfacility Transportation provides passenger shuttle service and courier service on regular, scheduled routes between UVA Health System facilities.
Resource Support Center
The Resource Support Center is primarily a dispatch operation for Hospitality Services, Interfacility Transportation, and Transportation & Distribution Services, and secondarily a call center allowing patient care services staff to access other administrative services.
