Videoconferencing
This technology permits people in different locations to engage in face to face interactions with audio, and visual interactivity. The Office of Telemedicine supports videoconferenced meetings, interviews, seminars, classes, and conferences, etc. for all employees of the University of Virginia. Interactive distance learning programs
In collaboration with the Office of Continuing Medical Education, educational programs such as grand rounds and other special conferences are offered through videoconferencing technologies. Many of these programs have been designated for AMA Category 1 credit.
Patient education seminars
can be designed to meet the needs of patients in remote locations.
