United States Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI)
USTTI is a non-profit joint venture between leaders of the US telecommunications industry and officials from the US government. The goal is to share US communications, technological and managerial advances on a global basis by providing a comprehensive array of tuition free courses for individuals who regulate and manage communications infrastructure throughout the developing world. Telemedicine supports this program by sponsoring students in the Telehealth module. Specifically UVa provides a seminar on Telemedicine and Distance Learning in the fall semester. Participants will get a hands on demonstration of all aspects of the program to include the various technologies and actual clinical encounters and the distance learning educational experience.
