Remote Area Medical Clinic
July 25-27, 2003
In late July 2003, the University of Virginia Office of Telemedicine participated in the Remote Area Medical Clinic in Wise, Virginia. From July 25th to July 27th, volunteers at the clinic performed a record 4,749 patient encounters.

Using the 50 dental chairs at the site, volunteers from the Virginia Dental Association extracted 2681 teeth and filled an additional 1101.
