Resident Research Day
Each spring we have Resident Research Day. This is a day where residents and postdocs in the Department of Surgery can show off their research efforts. In the form of oral and poster presentations, residents and postdocs formally present their research projects. A different Visiting Professor participates in Resident Research Day each year.

All Surgery Residents, Post-docs, and Medical Students are invited to submit abstracts.
Twelve abstracts from Surgery Residents are chosen for oral presentation. The remaining abstracts will be entered in the Poster Competition. Judges are comprised of faculty members and the Visiting Professor.
Monetary prizes are awarded to the top three oral and poster presentations.
All Faculty, Residents and Medical Students in the Dept. of Surgery are expected to attend.
This year Resident Research Day will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
The Visiting Professor will be Dr. Fred Crawford, Jr. , Professor of Surgery, Medical University of South Carolina.
