Gastrointestinal problems, liver and pancreatic problems, obesity surgery, hernias

Research Interests
Gastrointestinal motility, particularly the pathophysiology of postoperative ileus.

Gastrointestinal hormones, particularly their effect on biliary secretion and intestinal motility.

Neurohumoral control of the alimentary tract, particularly the role of the CNS and peptide neurotransmitters on gut function.

Pathophysiology and treatment of cholelithiasis.

Biliary physiology, particularly secretion.

Cholesterol and triglyceride metabolism with emphasis on hepatic uptake and retrieval of lipids.
