John B. Hanks, M.D., is past president of the Southeastern Surgical Association, Hilary Sanfey, M.D., is president elect of the Association of Women Surgeons, and I am past president of SAGES.
The residency program in Surgery is recognized as a superior training program, attracting top candidates from medical schools throughout the country and abroad. Our residents annually publish close to 50 peer-reviewed papers and receive institutional and national recognition for their research, medical student teaching, and mentorship. Graduates of our program are consistently accepted into excellent fellowship programs of their choice.
We are dedicated to continuing our commitment to excellence in clinical surgery, teaching, and surgical research. We hope that you will consider applying to our program and joining us in this mission.
