The Pediatric Surgery Division, the Department of Surgery, the Children's Medical Center and the University of Virginia Health System provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care of surgical diseases in children ranging from premature infants to adolescents. Each has completed a full residency in General Surgery and an additional two years of training in Pediatric Surgery and is certified in Pediatric Surgery and General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. The nurse clinician, Martha Kiker, provides comprehensive attention to patient care questions in conjunction with the surgeons, and coordinates scheduling of operative cases and clinic appointments |
