Jay Scott: "Thanks" isn't enough |
|
| |
After nine years as Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Administration and a total of 15 with the School of Medicine, Jay Scott will be retiring at the end of June. Jay has been an invaluable resource and support to me as Dean. During his tenure we have strengthened the fiscal integrity of the school while adding new programs, strengthening departments, recruiting a number of outstanding chairs , completing MR5, and beginning work on the Carter Harrison Research Building, the ART building, and moving into advanced planning for the Claude Moore Medical Education Building. Jay's experience and expertise in the operations of the School of Medicine will be greatly missed.
Moving forward, Brad Haws will be filling the new combined role of Senior Associate Dean of the School of Medicine and Chief Operating Officer Health Services Foundation. Brad has been working with Jay for the past several months to ensure a smooth transition and I ask you to give Brad your continued support.
