Research Description Mark R. Conaway, Ph.D., is a member of the University of Virginia Cancer Center and a professor in the Division of Translational Research and Applied Statistics in the Department of Public Health Sciences. Dr. Conaway's collaborative experience has ranged from the design and analysis of laboratory studies as well as multi-center clinical trials. Since coming to UVA, Dr. Conaway has collaborated on many cell culture and animal model studies, including serving as the primary statistician on a recently funded program project in prostate cancer with Dr. Bryce Paschal and Dr. Dan Theodorescu. Prior to joining the faculty at UVA, Dr. Conaway served as a faculty statistician in the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center and for the Prostate Cancer Committee of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB), where he acquired considerable experience in multi-center clinical trials in oncology.
