Changes to the OFR Web site (summer 2007)
We recently made several structural changes to our site. Access to the following has changed:
- "Research Resources and Collaborators" has been moved to the left menu, which is accessible from the entire site.
- Dean's Seminar Series and the SOM seminar calendar are combined under "School of Medicine," on the left menu.
- Office for Research contact information is at the top of our home page.
- "Compliance and Training" and "Policies" have been merged on the new graphic.
- The Research Faculty Directory can be accessed from most of the left menu items.
- "Finding and Applying for Funding" (graphic) now contains all of the site content for the development and submission of grant proposals.
- "Post Award Grant and Contract Management" no longer includes any pre-award activities, which have been moved to the "finding and applying" section.
Additions to the site:
- "Roles and Responsibilities in Research Administration" (graphic): will continue to be upgraded as the site merges content from the Office of Grants and Contracts.
- "Clinical Research" (graphic): will be augmented as the site merges content from the Clinical Trials Office.
- "Getting Started in Clinical Research" can be accessed from "New research faculty" on the left menu and from "Clinical Research" on our graphic.
- "Boilerplate" documents useful for developing grant proposals, including descriptions of core facilities, model data sharing plans, and a successful R01 section on vertebrate animals (UVA intranet), have been added. Select "Finding and Applying for Funding" on the home page and then "Materials for the development of grant proposals."
- New investigators may be interested in viewing a video of an NIH "mock study section" that can be accessed from the "Finding and Applying for Funding" page.
- A list of current and planned research facilities construction and major renovation projects, accessible from "School of Medicine" (left menu) and from "FAQs" (left menu).
