On Wednesday, July 18th, from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., the Department held an, "Open House" to showcase some of its latest imaging technology and clinical environments, including the 3-T MRI system, the Dual-Energy CT system, our 3D Imaging Lab, and the new Angio-Interventional suite. This remarkable technology, combined with the improvements in the patient care environments, is greatly enhancing the expertise of the Department's clinical faculty members, as well as the patient care experience.
In addition, we unveiled the conceptual drawings and floorplans for the, "Reading Room of the Future", where referring clinicians will benefit from a more dedicated consulting experience, and patient care teams will benefit from a more integrated educational experience. We were excited by the, "Wow!" responses generated by the drawings, and by the ways in which the design will further improve the Department's delivery of consulting services to referring clinicians, and the delivery of educational services to clinical learners.
