This two-day continuing medical education course is designed to provide physicians in internal medicine, family medicine, general and vascular surgery, pulmonology, hematology, diagnostic and interventional radiology an opportunity to learn about and discuss the advances in the diagnosis and treatment of venous thromboembolic disease. An understanding of the pathophysiology of venous thromboembolic disorders, in conjunction with advances in medical therapy and interventional radiology and surgery techniques, can yield positive outcomes for this patient population.
