What are varicose veins?
The veins in your leg carry blood back to your heart.  They have a series of one-way valves that keeps the blood flow moving towards the heart.  If the valves do not close properly blood can backup and pool in the veins.  The pooling of blood can cause the beins to become enlarged, tortuous, and painful.

So what is the no-surgery way to remove varicose veins?
The no-surgery way to remove varicose veins is to either place some special liquids into the vein or to use a special heated probe.  These techniques cause the vein to scar down upon itself.  As the vein scars down, it will disappear.  The laser is put through the skin and into the abornmal vein.  There is only a very small scar with this procedure.

How long will the effects of the no-surgery treatment last?
Wile the procedure only takes an hour, the effects are usually long lasting.

Does my insurance pay?
