Patient Eligibility for NOPR
Medicare beneficiaries who are referred for a PET scan for oncologic indications not currently reimbursed under Medicare could be eligible to participate in the NOPR. (See attached chart of eligible indications)
The patient and referring physician must give their consent for the data to be used in NOPR research. Whether or not consent is granted, submission of completed forms will ensure coverage by CMS of the PET scan charges.
