1. Install Java JRE 1.4.0 by running PACS-IW.exe installer or going to http://pacs.hscs.virginia.edu using Internet Explorer

2. Download Netscape 7.1 browser only from http://wp.netscape.com/download/full_install.html

3. Run NSSetup-base.exe

4. Click Next

5. Click Accept

6. Select the Recommended installation

7. Click Yes to create new directory

8. Unselect the Quick Launch option

9. Unselect option making Netscape.com the default home page

10. Click on Cancel when asked to register

11. Click Yes to cancel registration

12. Delete the "Free AOL," icons created by the installer

13. Create a new shortcut to ""%programfiles%\Netscape\netscape\netscp.exe" http://pacs.hscs.virginia.edu" under the %allusersprofile%\desktop folder

14. Go to the PACS page using the Netscape PACS shortcut

15. Click on the "Administration" link

16. Click on the "Set Medisurf JAVA Settings" link

17. Wait for a Security Warning box to appear

18. Select "Yes"

19. Wait for a black command window to flash

20. Click on the "Close" button

21. Delete all user profiles except for the current logged in user

22. Open "%systemdrive%\documents and settings\Default user\.java\properties140" in Wordpad

23. Change the value of 350 in javaplugin.jre.params=-Xmx350m to 10% below the amount of physical memory in the system

24. Copy "%systemdrive%\documents and settings\Default user\.java\properties140" to "%userprofile%\.java"
