Consultation/Liaison Emergency Service

Available for patients who are hospitalized for a physical illness, the Consultation/Liaison Team is headed by a psychiatrist provides psychiatric assessment and recomends treatment for patients with psychological adjustment difficulties or acute psychiatric illness. The service provides specialized services such as short-term psychotherapy, crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment evaluation and referrals, and capacity evaluations tailored to the hospitalized patient.
