The UVAHS Professional Nursing Staff Organization Clinical Career Ladder |
For full details on the Clinical Career Ladder processes associated with advancement and revalidation, see the Policy Reference Handbook.
Advancement Process
Clinician I advancement to Clinician II is mandatory. The decision to pursue advancement beyond the Clinician II level is an individual choice based on interest in professional development, increased responsibility and accountability. It is not expected that all staff will move through all levels. A basic tenet of the professional clinical career ladder is that each clinician will move at his or her own developmental pace and attain his or her optimal clinical level.
