Advancement Process

Clinician I advancement to Clinician II is mandatory. The decision to pursue advancement beyond the Clinician II level is an individual choice based on interest in professional development, increased responsibility and accountability.  It is not expected that all staff will move through all levels.  A basic tenet of the professional clinical career ladder is that each clinician will move at his or her own developmental pace and attain his or her optimal clinical level.

Revalidation Process

In addition to the annual validation process through performance evaluation, Clinician IV, APN I and APN II nurses must also revalidate their practice with the Central Career Ladder Panel every 3 years.
