- UVA School of Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services: Dr. Killos collects and analyzes Motion Analysis data and psychosocial measures related to stress and flexibility in healthy and frail senior adult populations.  She conducts clinical trials using advanced motion technology and VICON software.  She also carries out random control trials regarding the association between hip flexibility and gait parameters, including preparing research for publication in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Lydia Killos earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of Virginia in January, 2007.   Lydia's primary research focus is family and community contextual factors associated with variation in child outcomes.  Lydia is a registered yoga teacher (200 RYT) and enjoys teaching and practicing Ashtanga yoga.   She is currently working with the seniors involved in the Age Related Changes in Gait and and Flexibility study.
