Mission Statement
The Pre-Award Research Team is the grant processing unit for the University of Virginia Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics Department. All sponsor research application/proposals need to be coordinated by our team for review prior to submission to the School of Medicines Office of Grants and Contracts. The SOM Office of Grants and Contracts is the official submitting component for Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics. Sarah White, Assistant Dean of Research Administration, is the only UVA official who can submit grant applications to the funding agency. Applications are to arrive in the Office of Grants and Contracts five (5) business days prior the sponsor's deadline. Grant applications are to be in their final format when submitted. The Pre-Award Team will not receive your application back once it has been submitted to their office.
