The Ortho Team

The Musculoskeletal  physical therapists perform evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of orthopedic and associated conditions. These can include arthroplasty, fractures, multi-trauma, acute spinal cord injury, and the acute care of various other elective orthopedic surgeries. Treatment, based on evaluative findings, includes post-operative gait training, transfer training, exercise program prescription and progression.

 Student Objectives

The student will work with the multi-disciplinary care team to determine the patient's post- discharge needs based on their physical and mental status and their overall home situation.
