Off-site Permit parking is available, but y ou will need to obtain a parking pass $13/month; price subject to change. Parking and Transportation, located at 1101 Millmont Lane, telephone 434-924-7231.
Be sure to tell them that you are a student. They can mail you a parking application, but you will need to go in person to pick up the parking tag. On your first day plan to pick your permit up first. The office is open from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.
Parking in the garages at UVA Hospital are strictly reserved for patients and visitors and may not be used by staff or students for any reason during the week. On weekends and holidays, you may park there.
Directions to UVA Parking and Transportation Office
Directions from the North Via US 29
Stay on US 29, which becomes Emmet Street. Turn right on Barracks Road. Go one block and turn left on Millmont Street. UVA Parking and Transportation will be on the right.
Directions from the South Via US 29
Take US 29 Business exit just past the I-64 interchange. At end of ramp, turn right onto Fontaine Avenue, which becomes Jefferson Park Avenue. Turn left at the traffic light onto Emmett Street. Turn left onto Arlington Blvd.. Turn right onto Millmont Street. UVA Parking and Transportation will be on the left.
To UVa Medical Center (University Hospital)
From the North via U.S. 29
1.Take U.S. 29 South Business past the intersection for 250 Bypass.
2.Travel about 1.6 miles and pass Ruffner-Curry School of Education on the right. Proceed under the overpass, bearing to the left where the road becomes Jefferson Park Avenue (JPA).
3.Proceed on Jefferson Park Avenue to the hospital turn right onto Lane Road. Park in the garages on the left. Hospital is on the right.
From East via I-64
1.Take Exit 120 (5th street exit) and follow to Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and follow to Jefferson Park Avenue.
2.Turn left onto JPA, and then turn left at the first light. Park in the garages on the left. Hospital is on the right.
From West via I-64
1.Take Exit 118-B (US 29N - Charlottesville). Proceed 2/10 mi. to US 29N Business exit.
2.Turn right at the end of the exit onto Fontaine Avenue, which eventually becomes Jefferson Park Avenue.
3.Follow JPA to the end and bear right, following signs to the Hospital.
4.Proceed on JPA to the hospital turn right onto Lane Road. Park in the garages on the left. Hospital is on the right.
From South via U.S. 29
1.Follow US 29 N Business to US 29N Business Exit. Follow directions #2-4 directly above.
