CHARGING
- Charges cannot be entered for Medicare Part B patients seen by students, which include Medicare short-stay patients.
- Charges for treatment and indigent equipment are entered into the MIS on-line computer.
- Patients who need equipment may be issued loaner equipment, marked “property of UVA,” while here in the hospital. If patients need to take assistive devices home with them, you can issue equipment through local Durable Medical Equipment Companies, or dispense equipment out of our indigent closet if appropriate. Your CI will orient you further in our equipment process.
