Patient Evaluation
* Apply specific evaluation procedures for various conditions and understand the rationale for that evaluation
* Skillfully apply the evaluation procedure in a logical sequence and a safe manner
* Record information accurately in a SOAP note format
Program Planning
* Propose adequate treatment plan in proper sequence with modifications required
* Formulate adequate short and long term goals
* Formulate adequate discharge plans
Program Implementation
* Demonstrate skill in applying P.T. treatments
* Use adequate equipment and assistance
* Apply proper transfer techniques and safety techniques
* Modify treatment in accordance with patient change
* Use aides appropriately and with proper supervision
Communication
* Demonstrate correct usage of records and other information relevant to patient's condition and treatment
* Write well organized, timely evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries
* Verbally communicate effectively to staff, patient and patient's family
* Express self well in inservice presentations and in rounds and multi-disciplinary meetings
Interpersonal Relationships
* Establish adequate rapport with staff, patient and patient's family
* Accept suggestions, guidance and/or constructive criticism

* Demonstrate adequate professional conduct and ethical practice in the clinical setting

Expectations for the P.T. Student
* Have an open attitude and commitment to learning and patient care
* Have an awareness of problem identification and problem solving
* Do independent reading and research. Question and learn from other therapists and health professionals
* Take the responsibility for setting your own goals and expectations for the affiliation and discuss these with your clinical instructor (CI)
* Maintain open communication with your CI
