Adult Inpatient Acute 

 

The University of Virginia Health System is a 500-bed tertiary care medical center comprised of the University Health Sciences Center and the Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center.

The Medical Center is a Level I Trauma center, organized into six teams.

Inpatient and outpatient adult rehabilitation services are provided by a UVA/HealthSouth joint venture. A new rehabilitation hospital and outpatient facility was opened during the summer of 1998.

STAFF

There are approximately thirty therapists in the acute care setting (including fulltime, float, and wage) as well as a PT aide. We provide services 7 days a week.
