Conaway, Engelhard elected to Academy of Distinguished Educators

Carolyn L. Engelhard, MPA, and Mark R. Conaway, PhD, have been elected to membership in the Academy of Distinguished Educators at the University. Carolyn Engelhard is Director of the department's Master in Clinical Research program and a recognized expert in the field of health policy. Mark Conaway is Professor in the Division of Biostatistics & Epidemiology and is a former director of that division.

The announcement of their election was announced September 9, 2009, at the General Faculty Meeting of the School of Medicine. Announcing their election to the department, Chair William A Knaus, MD, called it "a well-deserved honor."
