Petroni, Cohn Promoted

Associate Professor of Biostatistics & Epidemiology Gina R. Petroni, Ph.D., and Assistant Professor Wendy F. Cohn, Ph.D., received academic rank promotion to Professor and Associate Professor, respectively, at a recent meeting of the Promotions & Tenure Committee of the School of Medicine.

"These are well deserved and very welcome promotions," said PHS Chair William A. Knaus, M.D. in making the announcement. "Congratulations to Gina and Wendy on jobs always well done!"

In addition to her research and teaching activities within the department, Petroni also serves as Chief Biostatistician for the University's Cancer Center. Cohn, who also teaches and has provided instrumental planning and leadership on several of the department's large research efforts, is currently Project Director for the Consumer Health Education Institute (CHEDI).
