Reynolds returns to PHS as Acting Chair for '06-'07

Robert E. Reynolds, M.D., outgoing CIO of the University, returns July 1, 2006 to the department he helped found under the name Health Evaluation Sciences. Formerly a secondary appointment in the department, Reynolds will return to a primary appointment as Professor of Public Health Sciences and will immediately serve as acting chair for one year while current Chair William A. Knaus, M.D., spends time on strategic and development efforts for the School of Medicine and the University.

"As many of you know Bob was critical in starting the department in the early '90s and is a great advocate," Knaus said in announcing Reynolds' move to the department. "He will be a wonderful steward as he is well connected throughout the University and is dedicated to having the department and all of you prosper."
