The Clinical Data Repository is a web-accessible de-identified database consisting of several years of clinical data from patient encounters at UVa enabling a detailed, flexible and rapid retrospective view of health care data at the University of Virginia Health System.
Consumer Health Education Institute (CHEDI)
The Consumer Health Education Institute (CHEDI) is an interdisciplinary research and development effort dedicated to improving the health of all individuals through the innovative use of information and education. Our flagship project, Tailored Educational Approaches for Consumer Health (TEACH ), currently underway, focuses on the use of market segmentation to differentiate individuals into distinct groups based on specific characteristics and preferences that impact the optimal delivery of health education materials.

Improving Control with Activity and Nutrition (ICAN)
A translational clinical trial to determine whether long-term lifestyle case management, combined with primary medical care, leads to modifications in diet and physical activity, improved diabetes control, and enhanced quality of life, among 400 Virginians at four sites throughout the Commonwealth.
