Godfrey M. Branche CPhT (Systems Operations Technician):
A 17 year University of Virginia employee, Godfrey attended London's prestigious St. Joseph's Academy and in 1988 moved to the United States. He held positions with Belk Inc. and Circuit City. Before joining the Pharmacy Department he worked with Medical Records and then with the Clinical Pathology Lab. He has been an Operations Technician for the last 9 years and has become the group's Master Coder for MIS (Medical Information System). Godfrey achieved his state certification as a Pharmacy Technician in 2006 and later the same year was awarded the highly regarded Governor's Award for Excellence, which is given for achievement in customer service and dedication to the University's core values. Godfrey is married and has two children. He currently resides in Greene County Virginia.
Mark P. Chabot R.Ph. MHA. MBA. (Pharmacy Services Automation Supervisor):
In 1981 Mark graduated from Butler University. He then accepted a position with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he later became the IT Supervisor. He joined the University of Virginia in 1997 as Automation Supervisor. During his tenure at UVA he has overseen the upgrading of almost every one of the department's automated devices and has implemented several state of the art systems. He has also held the position of Web Master for VSHP (Virginia Society of Health Pharmacists) since 2000 and, in order to maintain his professional skill level, has worked as a part-time staff pharmacist with Kroger. Mark received double masters in Business and Health Administration from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte North Carolina. He is married and currently resides in Charlottesville Virginia.
Robert H. Sanders CPhT. CCRT. (Systems Operations Technician):
An 11 year University of Virginia employee, Robert (aka Colonel) attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City Tennessee. He then became a radio announcer for WCRR Radio in Rural Retreat Virginia. In 1988 he moved to Charlottesville and took a position with The Boars head Inn and Sports Club where he trained in the culinary arts under Chef Melvin Frye and Sous Chef Scott Heaverly. He also worked in popular Charlottesville restaurants such as Rococo's and Little John's. While working with the Boars Head's security Department as liaison between the United States Secret Service, U.S. Marshal's Office as well as state and local police, he was awarded a citation for outstanding service. Colonel joined UVA pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant and later in 1996 became a nationally certified technician. In 2001 he received certification in Computer Upgrade and Repair from PVCC. He then accepted the position of Pharmacy Systems Operations Technician. Colonel resides in Charlottesville with his wife and two children.
