Investigational Drug Pharmacy Technician

(internal and external candidates accepted)

We are seeking an outstanding pharmacy technician to work in the Investigational Drug area. Certified technician preferred or applicant must take technician certification exam within 6 months of beginning employment.

Responsibilities include:

  • preparing and compounding research medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • ordering and inventory control
  • charging
  • maintaining pharmacy files
  • ensuring proper storage and disposal of medications
  • working in the inpatient pharmacy in the afternoons doing special assigned projects (i.e.- emergency drug box repackaging, robot packaging, etc)

Computer familiarity essential with preferred skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access databases. Successful candidate must be organized, efficient, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. FT, M-F (8:00 - 16:30) and every 3rd weekend.
