Extubation
If you have a breathing tube (endotracheal tube) you will often receive oxygen by way of a special airway bag we refer to as an ambu bag. An anesthesiologist or specially trained registered nurse will remove this breathing tube as soon as it is appropriate. We refer to this as extubation.
