  Research Interests: Dr. Behm's research interests include understanding the pathogenesis of intestinal inflammation, noninvasive imaging of the small and large intestine, and translational and clinical research studying potential new therapies for inflammatory bowel disease. He is currently studying the role of statins in decreasing intestinal inflammation in patients with Crohn's disease and is active in several clinical trials evaluating new therapies for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
