Laboratory Interests: Molecular Mechanisms of NORE1A and RASSF1A Tumor Suppressor Action

Research Projects:
1.  Finding similarities and differences in the mechanisms of action for two closely related tumor suppressors: NORE1A and RASSF1A

2.  Identify physiological partners of NORE1A using proteomics approach

3.  Molecular Mechanisms of NORE1A Activation

What you will learn on this rotation:
1.  A variety of state-of the art techniques:  DNA transfection, immunoprecipitation, Western Blotting, use of retroviruses for gene transfer, affinity chromatography, fluorescent microscopy, colony-forming assays, expression and purification of recombinant proteins, pull
down assay and protein separation for mass-spectrometry

2.  Basic knowledge and novel concepts in signal transduction and tumor suppression

3.  Many tips and tricks how to do cool science
