The Orthopaedic residency program at the University of Virginia is designed to provide the resident with all the tools necessary to become a highly competent orthopaedic surgeon, and the foundation for continued intellectual and professional growth and development. Upon completion of the program, residents will be able to function independently as orthopaedic surgeons, and be capable of qualifying for and completing the examinations required by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). |
