| The mission of UVA's orthopaedic foot and ankle division is to provide and promote excellency in the care of patients with foot and ankle problems. The division offers cutting edge surgical arthroscopic and open treatments of complex sports injuries, trauma injuries, degenerative articular and bony lesions of the ankle, subtalar, and midfoot and forefoot areas. We also provide conservative treatment using the technology and human sources from the Prosthetic and Orthotic laboratory, such as customized total contact inserts, braces and formulation of upper and lower extremities prosthetics. Our goal is to be responsive and provide early treatment to all patients with acute and chronic foot and ankle pathologies. | ||
