LabworkAfter discharge you may be on a drug called Coumadin (Warfarin). While taking this drug, you will need to have labwork drawn two times per week for 3 weeks, then 1 time a week for 3 weeks, because the dosage frequently needs to be changed. Usually you take Coumadin for 6 weeks after your surgery. If you have any questions or problems, call the Orthopaedic Clinic on Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 4:30 at (434) 243-5440. On weekends, evenings and holidays call (434) 924-0000 and ask to talk with the Orthopaedic resident-on-call. |
