Hand and Upper Extremity Disorders The Division of Hand and Upper Extremity disorders provides medical and surgical intervention for injury and disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, arm and shoulder. The Division also performs microvascular surgery that includes free tissue transfer, complex thumb reconstruction, and replantation of amputated parts. The physicians provide surgical intervention for nerve disorders that include carpal, radial, and cubital tunnel compression; nerve reconstruction; nerve grafting; and nerve repair. A certified hand therapist is available to help treat individuals with a variety of hand injuries.
