Goals and Characteristics

Our adult reconstructive surgery fellowship will provide access to a variety of adult joint problems. The emphasis will be on primary and revision hip and knee problems, osteotomies of the hip and knee, and major total joint replacement. The Fellow will have access to an active bioengineering group interested in implant design and analysis, finite element analysis, load and wear analysis, and use criteria analysis. There are opportunities to conduct animal research projects involving the stimulation of bone growth into porous implants and the possibility of cellular and molecular studies.

This fellowship is ACGME accredited.
