  The UVa Hand Center

The UVA Hand Center is a comprehensive multifaceted medical facility dedicated to the care of the hand and upper extremity.  Located in Charlottesville Virginia, The UVA Hand Center is a unique collaboration between the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery.  We specialize in all disorders of the hand, wrist, and elbow.  We treat a wide spectrum of disorders from carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis to complex fractures and congenital hand differences.  In addition, the center is equipped for emergency surgical procedures such as replantation, tumor removal, nerve reconstruction and microvascular reconstruction.

We have a skilled team of allied health professionals, nurse coordinators, physician assistants, and physicians who specialize in the care for disorders of the hand and upper extemities.  Whenever possible, the hand center team works with referring physicians to coordinate therapy and care in the patient's own community.
