Residency Interview Schedule:
Each interview day consists of a morning session (8:00 AM- 12:00 PM) and an afternoon session (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM). The applicants have the option to attend either session. A continental breakfast is provided for the morning session and lunch is provided for all applicants at the Colonnade Club (Pavilion VII) in the Solarium and Garden Room.
A post-interview dinner is held on the historic Downtown Mall on West Main Street on Friday and Monday. Applicants interviewing on Saturday are invited to the dinner on Friday evening. The dinner includes candidates and their family members and UVA Ophthalmology Residents. Faculty members do not attend this dinner. The dinner serves as an opportunity for the candidates to talk to our residents in a relaxed environment. Attendance is encourage, but not mandatory.
