Welcome to the
Department of Ophthalmology |
We are proud to serve as the ophthalmic referral center for central and western Virginia as well as parts of West Virginia, North Carolina, and eastern Tennessee. The mission of the Department of Ophthalmology is to provide our patients with quality, state-of-the-art ophthalmic care in all sub-specialties of ophthalmology. We pride ourselves in furthering knowledge of eye care through medical training and research.
To Our Visitors:
I hope you find that our newly designed website meets all of your informational needs. As a busy facility focused on patient care and resident education, the aim of our new website is to further the knowledge and understanding of how we operate and how we can serve our community.
Please let us know how we are doing by sending your comments to jah3ef@virginia.edu.
Sincerely,
Peter A. Netland, M.D., Ph.D.
Professor and Chair
