- Open the drawer (as far as it will go) that pulls out from the left side of the lectern.
- Set up the projector:
- Hold down the Unlock button (back left corner near the power button) and pull up the camera arm.
- Press the button on the left of the camera arm to extend the camera arm.
- Pull up each side lighting bar.
- Press the Unlock button to move the camera arm toward you to lock it into position over the projector area.
- Press the button on the left of the camera to adjust the angle of the camera to be pointed over the projector area.
- Turn the power on (back left corner).
- Choose the Select Video/Computer menu option.
- Press the Elmo Document Camera button. (The video projector is automatically powered and lowered when you select this. The lighting is adjusted to a preset level.)
- Place your object under the camera.
- Adjust the focus or zoom on the object, by using the controls for these items in the front right corner of the Elmo projector.
- When you are done with the Elmo projector:
- Turn off the power to it.
- Fold the projector up and close the drawer:
- Fold down the right light side bar.
- Fold down the left light side bar.
- Press the button on the left of the camera to turn it so that it is parallel to the camera arm.
- Press the button on the left of the camera are to shorten the camera arm as much as possible.
- Press the Unlock button and lower the camera arm to the document tray.
- If you will be using another visual resource, proceed to it. Otherwise raise the video projector by selecting the Video Proj menu option, press the Raise Video Projector button, and press the Standby button. Then select the Lights & Blackboards menu option and press the All On lighting presets button.
Notes:
If the Elmo Camera does not appear to display the object, make sure that all the switches on the Elmo Document Camera are set to the positions indicated by the red dots.
